Riverwood Mansion Wedding Venue Feature

Smiling candid bride getting ready at riverwood mansion

Named one of Nashville’s top wedding venues, Riverwood Mansion has been home to weddings for the past 20 years. Its rich history makes it even more appealing to those wanting to host their romantic, garden party nuptials in style. Not only is this venue incredibly grand, but it’s Southern charm can be seen (and felt) throughout the grounds!

About Riverwood Mansion

Riverwood Mansion is one of Nashville’s oldest homes. It’s also known as one of their most significant historical structures. This 9,200-square-foot home, originally built in 1790, has been home to over-the-top parties that included the attendance of famous guests including seven U.S. presidents! I don’t know about you, but I love venues and the photos I capture of them even more when they have a story behind them, especially a historical one!

Your wedding at Riverwood

With indoor and outdoor venue spaces available, Riverwood Mansion provides the ease and flexibility of hosting your wedding with them at any time of year! Ceremony options include both inside the mansion or outside in their lush garden.

Throughout the home itself, the architectural design is both sophisticated and charming. It features large columns, black marble fireplaces, and chandeliers.

This venue offers four different package options that provide a fit for every couple including tables, chairs, linens, glassware, custom catering options, floral design, reception decor and more! They even offer use of the property for a two hour bridal portrait session with access to their bridal suite prior to your wedding day. I love that they offer this as an option as it gives you the chance to capture a few extra photos leading up to the big day. Your venue is the perfect location for your engagement session. It’s going to be such a special place for you, so why not remember it with your engagement photos as well. This also gives your photographer a chance to check out the venue before your big day, which is always helpful!

Following the ceremony, the reception takes place in their 4,200-square-foot heated, draped pavilion. The pavilion is completely customizable and offers a spacious area to accommodate up to 300 guests.

Intimate Weddings at Riverwood Mansion

One of the things I love about this venue, besides the 8 acres of grounds and gardens surrounding the mansion, is how easy they make it for those looking to have a small, intimate ceremony or elopement. They have special packages specifically for these smaller ceremonies. These include options for ceremony spaces, an in-house officiant, toast for the couple with wedding cupcakes, wedding cake with an assortment of snacks for guests, and more. I absolutely love photographing intimate weddings. When venues provide special packages for them it makes it even easier to plan your day, big or small.

This vintage, modern venue is ready to be the location where your new chapter begins. Head over to the Riverwood Mansion website to learn more about their amenities and find out if this venue is the perfect fit for you!
