Liz and Morgan are an intentional and thoughtful couple. They had a small wedding in Joshua Tree. After connecting on Instagram, we decided to do a couples session in their wedding attire in their hometown of Palm Springs. This creative session is perfect inspiration for an elopement in Palm Springs.
Palm Springs has been known as a vacation destination for decades. It’s full of 1960’s charm with streets lined by mid-century modern homes. Tucked between three mountain ranges, the city is relaxed and romantic. You can enjoy a drink on a sunny patio and slow down for a bit.
Having an elopement in Palm Springs is a great way to avoid feeling rushed or worried on your wedding day. When it’s just you and your partner, you can focus on being present with each other. I love documenting those intimate moments of connection when a couple can be together without thinking about all the other moving pieces of a typical wedding day.
As a wedding photographer, I always want to know what matters most to my clients. For Liz and Morgan, that includes motorcycle rides. Liz even founded a Palm Springs collective for womxn motorcycle riders. I was so excited when they wanted to bring the motorcycle out for this session!
It was too windy for our original plan of photographing at the windmills, but this downtown location ended up being beautiful. I photographed Liz and Morgan in a neighborhood called Las Palmas. It’s known for beautiful mid-century modern homes, blooming bougainvillea, palm trees, and mountain views. There was another stunning backdrop for photos around every corner.
